Mid Coast Group Training Apprentice Chris Osborne and Trainee Patric Nicholson were nominated for Mid Coast Group Training's parent company, the Hunter Valley Training Company's Apprentice and Trainee of the Year Award.
An awards dinner and ceremony were held at Maitland on Wednesday 25th March at which Chris and Patric attended with one of their parents.
Chris and Patric travelled to Maitland at the Hunter Valley Training Company's expense and underwent a panel interview with prominent industry and education leaders.
The decision on the award recipients was broadcast as extremely difficult due to the high calibre of the nominees.
An Apprentice and Trainee from the Hunter Valley were eventually awarded the Apprentice and Trainee of the Year.
Mid Coast Group Training Apprentice Chris Osborne recently completed his Engineering Fabrication Apprenticeship and Patric Nicholson has recently progressed from his traineeship into an Apprenticeship in Engineering Mechanical Certificate III.
