Tools for your Trade



The Tools For Your Trade Initiative will start from 1 July 2005 for eligible New Apprentices. 

MAS Administration Services, trading as Tools For Your Trade, will promote the Tools For Your Trade Initiative nationally to employers, New Apprentices and tools suppliers and will ensure that regardless of location, employers and New Apprentices in regional and rural Australia are assured of access to the tool kits.  

The Initiative will help to alleviate the financial burden on eligible New Apprentices in the first year of their New Apprenticeship by providing tool kits worth up to $800 including GST.
You may entitled to a tool kit for undertaking a New Apprenticeship in an area of particular skills need such as:
 
  • Metal Fitter
  • Metal Machinist
  • Toolmaker
  • Metal Fabricator
  • Welder
  • Sheetmetal Worker
  • Motor Mechanic
  • Auto Electrician
  • Panel Beater
  • Vehicle Painter
  • Electrician
  • Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic
  • Electrical Powerline Trades
  • Electronic Instrument Trades
  • Electronic Equipment Trades
  • Carpenter and Joiner
  • Fibrous Plasterer
  • Bricklayer
  • Solid Plasterer
  • Plumber
  • Chef
  • Cook
  • Pastrycook
  • Cabinetmaker
  • Hairdresser
  • Furniture Upholsterer
